The former Nottingham Nightclub Ride has transformed into a botanical-themed cocktail bar. Calluna is currently open and serves cocktails that are signature and classic cocktails as well as wines, beers and coffee.
Instead of Jaeger-fuelled evenings There are also gin cocktails called Life in Pink and Charcoal Mist as well as the cult Pornstar Martini along with the Espresso Martini.
The two-storey bar that has an incline staircase, located situated in Forman Street, has been transformed by putting fern wallpaper and Ivy surrounding the bar, and copper decor , from the walls and bar stools to stunning lighting fixtures brought in from Italy.
Young and innovative 22-year-olds Aidan Broddell, from Epperstone along with Tom Cracknell, of Mapperley Park are the brains behind this venture.
Despite plans for a more casual opening on the weekend the bar was filled with guests , including a number of Made in Chelsea stars.
Tom who is finishing its final semester at London School of Economics, stated: “I’m amazed by the reception.”
Calluna was named after the vibrant shrub that is located there It will be open all week long beginning at 2pm. It will also be offering Happy Hour every day from Sunday through Thursday, 6pm until 10pm on Friday and Saturday between 6pm and 8pm where signature cocktails will be only 5 PS5.
In January, charcuterie and cheese boards as well as nibbles are served.
The next developments include an outdoor seating area that has an open wall along the end of the bar as well as an upper-level terrace.
