A family-friendly Drayton Manor theme park confirmed that the ride that had been thrilling visitors for 17 years has been closed.
Pandemonium, Drayton Manor Park’s classic thrill ride, will be closing. The park is inviting thrill seekers across the country to take a last look at its thrilling G-force.
Pandemonium’s thrilling pendulum swing will be open to brave riders from Friday, October 28, to Sunday, October 31, at Drayton Manor park. The park will close on Sunday to make way for exciting new developments.
The attraction’s gravity-defying ride was first opened in 2004. It is one of the most popular attractions at the park, with its famous swinging gondolas sending passengers flying at full 360 degrees.
Pandemonium’s closing is part of Looping Group’s investment plans. This will allow the park to expand its offerings.
The park, which is located in Staffordshire, also features over 100 rides, attractions, and the brand new nautical themed area Adventure Cove. It also houses Europe’s only Thomas Land, as well as a 15-acre conservation zone.
Riders will have the opportunity to go out with a bang during the “Brit-tastic fireworks Extravaganza” weekend. It takes place Friday and Saturday, October 29 and 30. This event features a fireworks display and laser display, as well as a beat soundtrack that celebrates the best of British music.
A spokesperson for Drayton Manor park said that Pandemonium’s brave riders love it since its opening 17 years ago. So, we are calling all thrill-seekers to take one last ride this weekend.
“While this is the end of an era at Pandemonium we have big plans to expand our offerings and make the park more exciting for our guests. We can’t wait for the new developments in 2022.”
Tickets for the Brit-tastic Fireworks Extravaganza and the closing weekend are still available online. The park encourages guests to book early to avoid disappointment.
