The actor Colson Smith will hope to reveal an entirely different side of himself when he participates in the new ITV series The Games. Colson Smith is the Coronation Street star is one of 12 celebs scheduled to compete in seven live shows when they compete head-to-head on 9 Olympic sports.
Colson Smith’s life during lockdown
The 23-year old, most well-known for his role as the charming Craig Tinker in the iconic soap – and also as one among Leeds United most famous supporters is undergoing an incredible transformation in the last few years. He is in the most fit of his life after embracing running during lockdown, and losing an astonishing quantity of pounds.
Colson will compete against Love Island stars Olivia Attwood and Wes Nelson, ex-Strictly professional Kevin Clifton and The Wanted’s Max George in the brand new show, hosting by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff. He admits to pushing himself to the limits prior to Monday’s premiere episode, he has even learned to swim to participate in the event.
What the weight Colson shed?
The actor’s young age saw him lose 10 stone only 18 months following “falling in love” with running during lockdown. He documented the incredible transformation in his documentary called ‘Bored of Being the fat kid’, when he decided to take some major changes in his life.
Although he was unable to run when he began the journey to fitness He was soon an “complete running geek” and started to lose weight while pounding the pavement, went to the gym, and began with a new eating regimen. When he started his first run and was humiliated by his body that he only ran after dark , and was dressed in an outfit.
Colson disclosed during the film that he endured online abuse for his height when his first time on the soap as a youngster and was hopeful that sharing his experience could help other people. The actor also acknowledged that his relationship with the soap was “very bad” and equated to “self-harm”.
Who is it that Colson reside with?
Despite the two characters frequently fighting in the show, Colson smith’s life is very close to co-star of Coronation Street co-star Jack P Shepherd. In fact, after Jack broke up with his ex girlfriend in the year 2018, the two joined forces.
The trio lived in a stylish bachelor pad worth PS300,000 located in Salford Quays, not far from the Corrie studios. They also had the actor Freddie Bolt. The group was famous for throwing wild parties in their house, with Jack seen in a car following a night of booze.
However, while the two remain in contact, Jack has admitted living with Colson was an “challenge”. He said: “I have to teach him about life and things, and I do his washing. He’s like my little project – my nickname is ‘Dad’.”
The fun times wouldn’t last for long, however, as Jack leaving in the year 2019 to be with his new partner which left Colson with no place to call home. Thankfully another Corrie co-star came through by assisting Ben Price moving in to become his new roommate.
Colson, Ben and Jack All three hosts of The podcast is hosted by Jack, Colson and Ben. Sofa Cinema Club, and confessed on the show that their arrangement for housing was “a bit like the changing of the guard”. Jack stated: “I’ve handed over the baton. I’m saying, ‘I’ve had that for a year, you deal with that.’ I’ve moved in with my girlfriend, thankfully,” while Ben stated: “It was like, ‘The lease is up, you’re having him.'”
