Brenda Edwards has admitted that she was taken to hospital for a broken leg after falling onto a slippery pavement in Blackpool.
The Loose Women star, 53 posted on the social media platform Twitter to reveal her injury information after she announced that she had been forced to take from her role as a character in her role in the Chicago musical.
The beloved TV star shared the photo of her leg via Twitter in which she expressed her anger over the unexpected incident.
Alongside a picture on her leg in a cast Brenda wrote: “Gutted I’ll not be capable of performing the two performances today at Chicago On Stage after sliding on a slick wet road in Blackpool and breaking my fibula.
“I was all set to move on in a wheelchair there’s nothing wrong with my voice, but I’m unable to.
“Hope to be a part of the talented cast in the near future.”
Following the announcement of her injury, Brenda was showered with congratulations from her friends and admirers alike, as they wished her quick recovery.
Her co-star ITV actress Ruth Langsford penned: “Noooo! Oh Brenda poor thing. I’m sending you love, sweet.
“This is such a terrible luck. It was for a reason,” another fan agreed.

A fourth person posted “Awh it’s so sad for you. I wish you a speedy recovery.”
Brenda was ready to play in the character of Mama Morton after Gemma Collins quit last month after sustaining injuries to her knee.
