Stranger Things season 4 stars Joseph Quinn has opened up about the possibility of a relationship between Eddie and Steve Harrington in this Netflix TV show.
Quinn is Eddie Munson, a newcomer in season 4, and Joe Keery has been playing Steve Harrington since the start of the show.
Season 4, part 2 was a time when the couple grew closer but their growing friendship was brutally cut short by Eddie’s tragic (and tragic) death.
The fans of the show loved the love-struck couple, so it was only an issue of time before fanfiction on Steve and Eddie”Steddie” began appearing on the internet and some viewers hoped they had more to do with friendship than they were.
When asked about a possible relationship between the two, Quinn told Radio Times: “All I can say is… how did they find out?”
“Well it’s true that you know… individuals imagine, I suppose,” he joked. “I dunno! I’m not sure what to do with that.”
The actor was later asked if he was of the opinion that the possibility of a romance could have been developed into season 5 if his character not passed away.
“Maybe! Maybe, maybe, maybe. Oh,” he said of the possibility that, honestly is what makes Eddie’s death more tragic.
Recently, Quinn discussed the possibility of a possibility of a return back to the show and even suggested that he could come back to take part within Dustin Henderson’s (Gaten Matarazzo) storyline.
When asked about the possibility of returning to this role Quinn revealed: “Me and Joe Keery were discussing ways to sort of come back ]… possibly something like a figment of Gaten’s imagination, or something. As if there was some sort of place for something similar or something that’s a little mysterious.”
