Good Morning Britain viewers were split as Richard Madeley returned to the ITV show as host, bringing details regarding his loved ones. The 66-year-old returned to the show today (October 11) about two months after his last appearance. hosted the breakfast TV show.
Following their welcome to viewers on this show Richard expressed his excitement about the birth of his daughter Bodhi Rae Georgia Haskell his co-star Susanna Reid. Reid stated: “Your family has changed since I last saw you.” Richard admitted the fact that daughter Chloe was the mother of Bohdi on his appearance last on mid-August but he was told not to reveal anything at the time.
He claimed that his daughter, whom has a relationship with his the wife Judy Finnigan, was in labor while filming, as reported by in the Manchester Evening News. Richard said: “The baby was actually born at 8:40am, while we were in the commercial break, which was very handy.”
It was also reported that Chloe as well as the husband of her James Haskell and baby Bohdi reside together with Richard and Judy as their home is being renovated. Richard describes his London home being “baby central”, said: “They’ve been living with us for around three months, and I’m loving it! When you walk into the room, there’s nothing but ‘baby and baby all over the place’.”
When being asked by Susanna whether they’re the “lovely grand dad”, He replied: “Well I enjoy it so I’ll say it this way. She’s beautiful. “Little Bobo” as a cute image of the newborn being baby was displayed on the screen.
As they began their show appeared that viewers were divided over Richard’s return. They made use of social media to share their thoughts. The Twitter account of @Nurse_palmer read: “Yaaayyy Richard Madeley is back!!! Congratulations on being a grandad @richardm56” and @ScottMoffett01 wrote “I like Madeley on #GMB, You just never know what he’s gonna come out with.”
Others have called the for Ed Balls or Martin Lewis to join the show alongside Susanna instead. @ArgyleLoz tweeted: “Oh no Richard Madeley is back @GMB wt* I mean why are they giving airtime to this relic? That’s me finished with #GMB again whenever [he] is fronting it, for God’s sake bring back either Ed Balls/Martin Lewis permanently.”
