Strictly Come Dancing star Helen Skelton admitted the fact that she was with former partner Richie Myler were avoiding each for a year prior to their split.
The Countryfile presenter got married with the player of the rugby league Richie in 2013. The couple they split in April – only four months following the time Helen was expecting their 3rd child. The BBC star has spoken about her struggle to balance her job, family and keeping the home tidy.
In an interview with the Mirror before their split, Helen, 39, was asked if they had enjoyed dates with each other. Helen replied: “No… We’re not living with each other – we’re just keeping our distance from each one’s way. We believe this is our dream, when we eat breakfast for lunch, dinner and breakfast together and then take care of the children in shifts.
“You are a great friend to the other in this particular situation. I doubt he’ll ever ask me, ‘What did you do with your children during the day What do you do with your kids all day?’. At times, I’d come home to work only for him be the husband who would stare in the bathroom and think”How can this be an unclean mess after she’s gone for the entire day? ‘.
“Now after he’s accomplished it, and he’s asking, ‘How did she remain sane? ?’.”
Helen – whose two other children Richie are aged five and seven she said the kids will stay up late, which would prevent the couple from spending time. She explained: “If we sit on the couch prior to 10pm, we’re content. My children… have not good sleepers.”
The couple was renovating their house close to the home of their family in Yorkshire. They split up to complete the work and spend more time spent apart. In describing the dog of the family, Helen said: “He is my lifeline. I go out for a run and I feel so much better.”
Richie was who is playing in Ireland at the World Cup, is now engaged to Stephanie Thirkill, 32, her father is Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill.
This comes following Helen admitted that she moved to live with her parents after her split from Richie. The 39-year-old confessed to having left the home she grew up in within Leeds to live with her parents who live on a property located in the Lake District.
This means that her mom and dad will be able to with her three children while she works for Strictly along with ITV’s Lorraine which is where she’s a part of the brand new campaign called ‘Me Time. Speaking about her experiences back at the farm, Helen said to The Telegraph : “I can put on my pyjamasand put my shoes on put my dad’s coat and stroll across the fields with my dog and what a great way to begin my day.”
She said she the family and she are “really happy and that’s what really counts,” while appearing to talk about her split from her boyfriend and squelch any possible romantic relationships. “I think that if I’ve taught you anything about me through this conversation, it’s not only does my glass have half-full But I’m also currently holding one.”
Helen said. “I’ve plenty to be grateful for. I’m not going worry about the only thing I don’t have”
