Fern Britton was seen making an attack on her ex-husband Phil Vickery after he was seen kissing her former best friend.
The presenter posted on Twitter to share a food-related tweet that could have been directed at the chef on TV. The 65-year old shared a picture of her cooking experience at Coq-AuVin in what could be an attack on Phil who was recently spotted out with his partner Lorraine Stanton, writes The Mirror.
“Can’t beat the recipe of @MaryBerrysFoods for #CoqAuVin.. Substitute shallots for onions as well as carrots in place of mushrooms. Comfort dumplings from Aunt Bessies popped up over the top. A dinner smothered in sexual innuendo” She wrote.
Twitter users were able to see the humorous side of things, one tweeting: “Nice dumplins Fern!” One wrote “Puts in the oven, Steady Cook in the shade, isn’t it? Fern …..” – – a comment that Fern loved.
Her blog post came following The Sun revealed that Phil might have been in secret with the girl she was with Lorraine over the course of two years. Pictures of the two kissing during a night out in London were reported to have raised several feathers when Fern separated from Phil in 2020.
With suitcases in hand as well as carrying a Fortnum as well as a Mason backpack, the two had a long, public kiss. They enjoyed a romantic walk before entering a lavish Mayfair home close to Berkeley Square.
The couple left the building at around 2pm with bags and kissing. The source said to The Sun: “They look like teenagers who are in love, and that’s too hurtful to Fern.
“Behaving like this in public is an act of act of betrayal.” Lorraine, who is a hospitality professional has been friends with Fern for a long time.
The couple have been on bicycle rides for charity and went shopping near Fern’s new residence in Cornwall. Fern often left remarks on her photos with a caption that read “fabulous stunning as always xx”.
Fern and Lorraine’s relationship was abruptly ended in the year 2020, when they had to unfriend each other via social networks. In the same moment, Fern also suggested it was “easier to forgive your enemies than to acquaintances” in a post on Twitter.
The split took place eight months after she and Phil announced their breakup. If asked to comment on the pictures her husband Simon said to The Sun: “I don’t know when I’ll be able to talk to my wife regarding them.
“I’m not home, as is my spouse. She’s not been home for a long time.” Lorraine claims that the Sun’s pictures were not related to the breakup that her union went through.
“It’s an emotional moment for me and my family. I’m not actually living in the same home as my husband and it’s nothing to have to do with the current controversy concerning the photos,” she wrote.
“We are currently going through the grief of family members, and I’ve recently losing my stepfather. My kids are extremely fragile, and they’re extremely upset by the whole thing.”
The pictures were shot one day following Phil made a sausage-based bake for This Morning, before tucking into the dish together with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. The Sun reported that Phil stayed in a house in the city following the shooting of the show.
This Morning stars Phil, aged 61 and Fern 65, who separated after 20 years of marriage in 2020. Phil’s representatives were contacted to provide a statement.
