GB News star Isabel Webster has confirmed that the channel’s breakfast program is on the list of nominees for The Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards.
The news is exciting because it comes one day after her fellow co-star Eamonn Holmes revealed his absence on the show, explaining that he’s going on a vacation this week due to an issue that he has with his back.
Isabel went on Instagram to reveal the nomination of the show to her followers. She shared a photo of the shortlist that contains BBC Breakfast, ITV’s Good Morning Britain, BBC Breakfast and BBC News Team, she posted: “THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who supported us! It’s a huge honor to be on the shortlist of the @TRIC Awards along with established programs in just five months is an enormous confirmation!
“You’ve made a huge difference to the face of @eamonnholmes as well as me, along with @stephengbnews as well as Anne Diamond – as well as our incredible team, headed by @lucy__johnston, the @sarawolkon and @charlielcooke. Let’s celebrate the 6th of July!”
Fans were quick to praise the superstar One person wrote: “Congratulations. Well deserved. The best breakfast show of all time,” while another added: “Congratulations! Very well-deserved.”
Isabel posted the post just one day just a day after Eamonn spoke out about his health issues of late. In a post on Instagram to explain the reason Eamonn has been absent from the newsroom on Breakfast together with Eamonn and Isabel the 62-year-old posted an apology.
“Many of people have asked me why I’ve not been on GB News for the past week,” he started.
“Unfortunately due to the recurrence of a chronic back problem, I’ve had to undergo an unplanned hospitalization and am following Doctor’s instructions to take a brief period of time off.”
Former This Morning star added: “However, I’m looking to returning with Isabel My Breakfast co-host and friend, next week..
“Even even though I signed up with GB News six months ago The entire team and our wonderful audience has given me a tremendous amount of support that is greatly appreciated. I’m just waiting for an hour or two with my loved ones in order to heal and recover. We’ll see me soon Eamonn.”
