Martin bashir said that he believes Olivia Olson should stay in Celebrity X Factor.

Simon Cowell sent Olson home despite her impressive rendition of All I Want For Christmas is You in Love Actually.
The first live show featured Olson stumbling on the stage .
Bashir now says he believes Olson should have stayed in competition.
He told Standard Online that it was difficult speaking at the Pride of Britain Awards. It was very upsetting. She was clearly very upset.
She is a wonderful person and a kind, generous person. She is also an amazing singer.
To be completely honest, she should have gone through. We knew that when we entered the competition it wasn’t up to us. Simon Cowell made this decision. However, I am excited to see what happens.”
Bashir also said that he had spoken to Olson after her departure.
He stated that “Her boyfriend’s now here.” She is clearly very disappointed. Look, I think I’ll be out next week anyway.”
Bashir suggested that his song next week was by one the “greatest American singers of all times”, but he wouldn’t reveal the identity of the singer.
He said, “He died around 10 years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting him twice while I was living in New York. He had an amazing voice.
“If I can learn his song at 100th percent of his performance, I think that I may survive.” It’s a beautiful song, and I believe people would love it. I just need to do it correctly.
