Luisa Zissman burst into tears during This Morning as she opened her mouth about how she put her dead horse in a sack.
The Apprentice’s star, who is 33 said she’d been “shattered” when her horse passed away and that she spent the next week in bed and developed “stress induced vertigo”.
Yet, Luisa says that seeing her horse being preserved by taxidermists has been something of an “incredible” feeling and that she’s put him in the entryway of her new home.
Prior to the appearance she will make in This Morning, Eamonn insisted that she was an “great fan” of stuffing pets.
“I’ve already made plans for my dog,” the dog’s owner said – something Ruth did not like.
“Absolutely not!” Ruth exclaimed. “I don’t want a stuffed Maggie reminding me every day.”
Luisa was later on the show and discussed how she purchased her Madrono, her horse. Madrono.
“Ive been riding my whole life since I was four years old and I suppose like all girls I dreamed of a unicorn horse,” she said to Eamonn as well as Ruth.
At the age of 26, Luisa acquired Madrono and claimed that he had the “amazing mane” and “like a puppy dog in his stable”.
She also disclosed that when she purchased the horse, she was aware that he was melanoma-positive.
“I did ever single cancer treatment you can have on a horse,” she stated, but the tumors increased in size and she was forced to get him killed.
When she was asked by Ruth what she was thinking of when she decided to stuff her horse, Luisa began to cry and apologized.
“I’m so sorry,” she stated. “This is so humiliating. I imagine that people handle grieving in various ways… The way I dealt with it was that I simply couldn’t bear to not be able to see him again.
“It makes me really happy because he’s a work of art.”
“I just wanted him to live forever,” she said. “It’s quite comforting.”
Luisa shared a clip of her brought back to the beloved horse Madrono who died from cancer.
Reality TV’s star burst in tears when she came close to her horse and captioned the photo: “The day we were together.
“I realize I’m weird I’m sure it’s not normal, but when Madrono was diagnosed with PTS because of melanomas (cancer) I was devastated. I had seen @simon_the_stuffa’s amazing work , and it was him who was the first person I contacted.
“I cannot even describe the overwhelming sadness I felt that I felt when Madrono passed away. I spent an entire week in bed, and suffered from stress-induced vertigo (pathetic I know)
“Seeing him once more today was awe-inspiring. He’s just perfect. His gentle eyes are exactly like his as the tiny swirls of his coat, his stunning hair, all just perfectly. Thank you Simon the Stuffa and your team. It truly brought me joy! (Even though I’m ugly crying)
“And for those who listen to @annawilliamsonofficial and I LuAnna : The Podcast, you will be relieved to hear his balls are still intact.
“Madrono will take pride of place in the entrance hall of my new house.”
She also posted a photo of her embracing the horse. She added: “You’re home now. My beautiful Madrono. He is the most beautiful, majestic, stunning horse of a lifetime. Thank you @simon_the_stuffa you have captured everything about him so perfectly. Feeling very emotional.”
