Pete Sandiford’s wife Paige Yeomans and their son Jimmy have made a prominent appearance during the most recent show of Gogglebox.
When Paige was not with her husband’s wise-cracking wit or sister-in law, Sophie and Sophie, on their famous sofa, in the first episode of the episode Pete received a short phone call from her and the adorable moment was captured on film.
Paige’s voice was heard at the other end of the line before Pete ended their conversation. “Alright then I’ll let your take the reins and get Jimmy out. I am in love with you, I miss you, goodbye,” he said before making kissing sounds and then hanging up.
Sophie then looked at her brother and asked jokingly: “Wrong number?” before Pete quipped back: “Dad.”
It’s not clear what’s known about Pete’s wife, other than the fact that she’s an emergency call handler with degrees in English and the study of linguistics. Pete has been very secretive about their relationship, however it’s believed they’ve been together from at least October 2020 since that’s the date Pete posted his first Instagram picture with his other half.
The couple tied the knot in the month of May 2021, and welcomed their first child later during the summer. Pete did not announce the happy news until months later, when the Gogglebox scooped the prize for the Best Fictional Show in the National Television Awards.
When speaking to the HELLO! and other press during the occasion, Pete gave an update about the personal side of his life. He stated: “It’s a bit overwhelming with everything happening right now! The whole night I’ve been awake I’ve slept on the train – with suitcases under my eyes. You’ve have me at the right timing right at the moment.
Pete confirmed that the couple was expecting their first child back the month of April of the previous year, when he shared with Sophie and other viewers at home a photo of the scan of his pregnancy on his mobile.
He then posted on Instagram to give his followers an inside look as well as superimposing his face in the middle of the sonogram joked that his child might be a model for his father. “I am sure I have a feeling the baby may look similar to me,” He said, before adding the names of Paige along with Sophie as the subject of his caption.
