The English golfer Georgia Hall lies two shots from the top of the leaderboard following the first round of the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open.
Hall made seven birdies as well as one bogey during an opening 66-hole 66-under at Dundonald Links, where Korea’s Hye Jin Choi played the last five holes with five under to start her round at 64.
“Very satisfied with the way I performed Today,” Hall, the 2018 women’s British Open champion, said.

“Everything was quite great. The shot was not really missed and even hit a couple of great putts.
“I’m very happy and am enjoying playing links golf for the first time in a while. When you play in the morning, you’re going to be playing in the most relaxed conditions and I’ve attempted to get the most out of that.”
The morning starters had to face an torrential downpour, which caused some standing water in the golf course however Hall’s Solheim Cup partner Celine Boutier and the former World number 1 Lydia Ko overcame the conditions to score 65 and take on American Lilia Vu in second third place.
England’s Bronte Law scored an opening 68, which was followed by the defending champion Ryan O’Toole, with world number one Jin Young Ko returning a two-under 70.

In her final plans for this year’s Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links, the English player was reacting on the prospect for LIV Golf launching a women’s league for women.
Mollie Marcoux Samaan, who is the LPGA Tour commissioner, admitted in the last week that she’d “take the phone” to Greg Norman, the breakaway circuit’s commissioner and CEO If he made contact with LIV Golf being active in women’s sport.
“I certainly haven’t heard anything about any women’s LIV league or schedule” stated Hall. “I am aware of plenty of rumours floating around, but I’ve never considered an official schedule similar to that for us.
