Vicky McClure from Nottingham made Nottingham her priority first this week, when she shared information about her charitable work and causes. In a ‘This is nottingham shirt and a hat, she was seen promoting Teenager Cancer Trust before taking to Instagram Live to announce the details of her upcoming projects.
On social media, she addressed her followers she said: “I know I’m a broken record, but I’m who I am and I’m very proud of where I came from. I think it’s important not to lose one’s roots”.
Line of Duty’s star was promoting two charitable events taking place in this city. He took the time to answer followers’ questions regarding upcoming acting projects, as well as news on the upcoming TV series Without Sin, Trigger Point and Line of Duty.
Vicky first introduced the “This is Nottingham The event’s music program, which raises money for charity Teenage Cancer Trust. The event , which will take place on 3 December, will take place by the city’s Metronome and hosted by Vicky McClure. McClure said: “It’s called This is Nottingham which means that for any This is England fans you’ll be familiar with what I’ve done there.”
The reason for the concert, McClure said that she’d been to a few London performances at the Royal Albert Hall where there were a few ‘epic’ artists doing their thing and she decided to create something similar outside from the Capital. McClure added that the idea was likely to begin in Notts in Notts’ and attempt to bring some of the best Nottingham artists to participate. The main act are Long Eaton rapper the Bru-c, as well as other locals Jah Digga and Kingdom Rapper

In a chat, Vicky discussed Our Dementia Choir’s performance in The Theatre Royal in Nottingham on December 12th. Vicky told us: “I know, Nottingham again however, this is the thing I’m doing. I’m bringing everything back home”. Vicky added that on 13 December, the choir will also perform in Mansfield at a corporate function.
After the details of the event were revealed and the actor from Wollaton was interviewed, she answered several questions about upcoming TV series. In announcing that the psychological thriller Without Sin, would soon arrive on television screens Vicky said: “This is an extremely special production” and added “I’m very happy… it’s situated in Nottingham and is being shot at Nottingham …” the show is set to premiere on the 28th of December, Wednesday in ITV X.
When inquired concerning Line of Duty, Vicky admitted that she was frequently asked if there was another show, and they would be thrilled to see it. However, she stated: “It’s just, there’s nothing to say right now”.
