- Matching pyjamas
To get everyone in the Christmassy mood, what could be better than donning matching pyjamas or festive-themed loungewear? Not only will this help you to create a cosy, warm feeling whilst on your break, but it’ll become the perfect outfit for indoor festive activities.
- A Christmas playlist
Make a Christmas car playlist for your journey to your holiday home, as well as a Christmas disco playlist, that can be played throughout the day and into the night. With this, you can dance your way through other festive activities and get everyone in the Christmassy mood.
- Eden at Christmas
Why not experience the Eden Project like you’ve ever experienced it before, with a trip to Eden at Christmas. Experience the biodomes lit up in festive lights, an ice rink that’s been created and from 2 to 24 December the main man himself, Father Christmas, who will be allowing visitors to his pop up grotto with some elves to talk to the children on his nice list about their Christmas wishes. Of course, you’ll need to book these activities in advance, as they are in high demand, so we suggest booking before your trip!
- Gingerbread House
Building gingerbread houses is a great activity for all ages, whether you decide to make a house from scratch or buy all the pieces ready for assembly or decoration. Getting creative and making a delicious treat to be demolished later is a great way to bring that Christmas feeling into your holiday home.
- Christmas movies
Is there anything better than all snuggling down to watch a Christmas movie or two, complete with popcorn, snacks, hot chocolates and mulled wine? You could bring DVDs to your holiday home or a device that you can stream services such as Disney Plus and Netflix, all of which are loaded with Christmas flicks this time of year.
- Christmas markets
It’s always a good idea to search for any Christmas markets that may be taking place near where you’re staying. Not only is it a great day out for all, but you could end up finding last-minute gifts for those you’re yet to buy for, discovering new small businesses and experiencing food and drink suppliers that you may want to use throughout the year to come for gifts, etc.
