Tattoo owners at a tattoo shop located in Hyson Green are more than PS300 out of pocket following one of their customers ran away after the work was completed.
Amin Daryaei along with his partner, Elmira Karami run their own Puzzle tattoo studio located in Radford Road, Hyson Green.
Mr. Daryaei said a customer been in the shop at 2.45pm on a Sunday, July 19 and that Mrs Karami covered for five hours the tattoo on his arm.
However, after asking to go out for a smoke – when the work was almost done the customer walked away and the business was left with hundreds of pounds in its the pocket.
The store has just opened after the lockdown, and Mrs. Karami says that the incident made her feel fearful.
Mrs Karami stated: “He said he was going to go away for five mins.
“He was seeking information about the equipment we have as well as the cost. I later noticed that one of them had been missing as well.
“The tattoo was about PS350 worth. The device is valued at PS80.
“It has left me really scared about being in the shop alone.”
Mr. Daryaei stated that he and his wife relocated to the Nottingham region four years ago.
He continued: “We started our business however we believe it was in the wrong place, but we were not able to make a decision.
“When I shared with people what was happening, and posted the message on our Facebook the response was “welcome to Radford Road’.
“Since lockdown happened, we have only been open since July 14 so this is very frustrating to happen less than a week later.”
The footage was posted by the tattoo shop’s social media accounts that appears to depict a man fleeing out of the establishment. The image was later taken down.
Nottinghamshire Live has decided to blur faces from the video since the footage was not provided from an authorized source.
Police are currently looking into the theft and have asked for any information from those who were in the area at the time.
A spokesperson from Nottinghamshire Police said: “We are aware of a burglary at the premises of a business in Radford Road, on the weekend. We we are looking into what took place.
“If anyone has any information in this case please call us on 101 quoting incident 769 of 19 July.”
