A date for the return of Apple TV+’s spy drama Slow Horses Season 2 has been announced to be later in the year.
It premiered earlier this year. the show follows a group consisting of British intelligence agents who make career-threatening mistakes that resulted in their being sent into Slough House, an administrative exile.
Apple has confirmed that the next episode will air on December 2nd 2022 with two episodes. will new episodes be released each week on Fridays.
In the next episode “finds deep-seated Cold War secrets emerge which are threatening to cause destruction on London’s streets ,” according to the synopsis.
“When an encounter with Russian enemies takes a deadly direction, our unlucky protagonists must adjust to their own shortcomings and increase their game of spying in order to avoid an escalating incident,” it adds.
The film stars Gary Oldman and Kristin Scott Thomas, Slow Horses is inspired by the book of the same title written by Mick Herron.
The creator recently revealed it was revealed that Season 2 of the show will include significant modifications that are a bit different from the original story.
” Slow Horses was extremely close to the storyline of the book. It’s likely to be less so in the following one due to various motives,” he told the Radio Times. “All the major changes to plots were made in my favor or, in some cases, at my suggestions.”
Further discussing the show’s confirmed the third season and its fourth, Herron added: “Barring unexpected catastrophes, books 1 to 4 will be on TV screens in the next two years.
“There will be changes however, for me, the most key elements are people and their tone that straddles comedy and tragedy at times.”
He went on to say: “I’ve been very happy with the direction they’re taking and do not require that the plotting be in step with the novel.”
