Shang-Chi 2 cast : Who will be returning for Shang-Chi 2?
It’s impossible to imagine a sequel without the stars Simu Liu and Awkwafina and, given the way the film’s conclusion is, we know that the two will do amazing things. Awkwafina has said that she would never wish to see them split and we don’t see the same thing.
For the other actors, it’s likely Tony Leung would be back, considering Wenwu’s tragic death at the close of the film. Flashbacks, however, can be A Thing, but given how well the film completed his emotional arc it’s unlikely that he’ll make a return.
Meng’er Zhang is likely to return to her character of Xialing Shang-Chi’s sister who at the conclusion of the film, took over the criminal empire of her dad. It could also be that it’s the last time for Florian Munteanu in the role of Razorfist as an Ten Rings henchman.
Someone we thought we’d seen the last of but hadn’t was Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, the disgraced actor-turned-terrorist-turned-jester. His role as a character in Shang-Chi as well as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was never completed, and we may see him once more.
If or when the sequel will return in the form of Ta Lo, we have to be hopeful that it makes more use of the bonafide film actor Michelle Yeoh. Another non-Shang Chi Marvel character featured in the sequel was Wong (Benedict Wong) but it’s a toss-up on what other MCU characters might be featured in the sequel.
