It seems that Ruth Langsford was in good spirits after she revealed she’s been given her 3rd COVID booster vaccination and took to Instagram to share the news.
The Loose Women presenter quickly thanked the NHS and the volunteers at the Walton Vaccination Centre as she received her booster shot six months after she confirmed that she received her second dose in May. The presenter shared a video of her in the centre for vaccinations, Ruth penned: “Booster time! I had the flu jab on my other arm, too. “”Thank to all the volunteers and staff in the Walton Vaccination Centre especially Mike… I didn’t feel anything! #covidbooster #vaccinationdone #protection”, Ruth continued.
It was reported that the This Morning presenter who is age 60, has been applauded by her followers who quickly flooded the comments, leaving with emojis that clapped and messages of encouragement. “Well done Ruth I’ve had my own 2 weeks ago” Another said: “Well done Ruth! I was a little ‘off the the next day, but I am glad that it was all over! “.
A portion of Ruth’s fans were split on the post considering that the 61-year-old chose to get two shots within a single day.
“Oh god, that’s quite an awful lot!” One follower wrote, and another fan who was worried wrote: “Blimey, two jabs in the same day?”
This booster vaccination is targeted at people who are who are over 50, social workers and frontline health workers as well as those at high risk of contracting COVID-19. Ruth admitted that she was referred to the clinic early to get her first vaccine back in February following an email by her local NHS.
It’s been a busy week of joyous celebrations and festivities Ruth and her husband Eamonn Holmes and their family, who loved their daughter’s Christening at the church on Sunday.
On Instagram to commemorate the event, the doting grandpa Eamonn posted a lovely family photo taken following the ceremony. “Emilia is my first grandchild was born today [emoji heart”),” he remarked. “Lovely family gathering, including the adorable parents Declan and Jenny.”
Step-grandmother Ruth said: “Wonderful day ….so special to be there.” Kate Garraway wrote: “Wow congratulations ! xx.” Susanna Reid said: “Congratulations to the whole family.”
