One neighbor who was an elderly man stated: “I don’t believe it. Rob is so hardworking and would help you out with anything.”
“He is an electrician and he rarely goes to matches as he works extremely intensely. He’s always been a good person to me.”
A couple in their 80s who lives close to Biggs didn’t know their neighbor was involved in the incident. They told the story: “Oh what’s he done that for, we had heard about it on the radio but didn’t realise it was Rob. He’ll lose his job because of that.”
The spouse of the couple stated: “He is as good as gold, ask anyone and they’ll tell you that. He has assisted me whenever I’ve needed to do something around the home, like the electrical wiring.
“I have never seen him show any aggression towards anyone, he rarely drinks. Just a really kind person, this is so out of character.”
