Besiktas : Celtic may face competition for transfer from Turkey when they try to acquire Aissa Laidouni.
There were reports in France were reported last week that linked with the Tunisia World Cup star with an move to Parkhead in the meantime Ange Postecoglou seeks to improve his midfielder during this January’s transfer window. Laidouni performed admirably during the tournament in Qatar despite Tunisia losing during the Group Stage however, they scored an impressive victory of 1-0 against World champions France in their final match in Group D.
Now Besiktas have been reported to have an eye on the player who is 25. Turkish publication Burada Bugun claim Laidouni is one of the targets for the Istanbul-based club as well as that current club Ferencvaros is willing to let him go for a price of EUR4million. They also claim Besiktas were able to make their move to sign the defensive midfielder. Wolfsburg are also believed to be interested in Laidouni who played throughout France in France and Romania before moving to Hungary.
Celtic will likely be faced with a fierce opposition to sign Laidouni but they’ll hope their winter pursuit proves to be more successful than their summer efforts to sign an experienced holding midfielder. Brazilian Vinicius Souza has been heavily connected to the Hoops as well as a variety of various clubs. But he ultimately decided to sign with Espanyol.

As with Celtic and every other team that wishes to register the Tunisian team, Super Lig will be the next to do so. Super Lig side will have to pay the Hungary’s EUR4 million, if they choose willing to sell the defensive midfielder of 25 years old. His performance during the World Cup has certainly saw an increase in interest similar to Josip Juranovic of Celtic. The club will naturally seek to get the best price for their player.
It’s an area in the park that the Bhoys really could benefit from an athletically impressive figure. The midfield is great with the addition from Callum McGregor will be crucial for this season’s Scottish Premiership. However, ahead of next season and another attempt in the Champions League football, we may want to enhance the physical side of the engine room.
