Glamour girl Rhian Sugden is forced to cease her efforts to have IVF-conceived children since the clinic has been shut because of Covid-19
Rhian Sugden is devastated following her IVF battle was delayed due to an coronavirus outbreak.
The former glamour model 33-year-old is currently trying to have a baby together with actor-husband Oliver Mellor, 39, and their two previous attempts with IVF were unsuccessful.
The plans to move forward with a third round of treatment have been delayed indefinitely because the clinic they’re using was forced to shut down due to the Covid-19.
In a tweet in a post on Twitter she thanked her followers for their support and shared the journey she’s taking to become a mother. need to wait until the pandemic is over.
They wrote that she “Had several lovely comments recently regarding me and my IVF Journey #IVFJourney.
“Quick Update… Our fertility clinic is closed because of COVID19 and we’re currently waiting for further announcements.
“Good things come to those who wait right? #ttccommunity.”
Former Page 3 girl underwent her second cycle of IVF at the end of last year and was left devastated just a day before Christmas when the pregnancy test came back positive.
In an interview with the Sun, Rhian admitted the long and exhausting 10-day period of hormonal injections “broke her” and definitely caused the couple to miss their Christmas party.
She stated: “After getting so far on our second round it was really heartbreaking to find out it hadn’t worked. It broke me.”
“It ruined Christmas for us both and it has been really difficult to deal with – especially for me having all the hormones injected and placing all my hopes on one egg.”
In her speech, Rhian encouraged other couples affected by infertility not to be afraid to talk about their experiences and discuss their experience.
She said: “Infertility is something that isn’t really spoken about, and is something men and women shouldn’t be ashamed of.”
In April of last year the model was exposed by doctors who informed her that she was carrying the “egg count of a woman over 45”.
The month of December was when Rhian shared a few moments of her second IVF journey to share with fans. She also uploaded footage of herself going around after having been sedated following an egg collection.

Alongside the brutal treatments as well as the gruelling treatment, she’s also had to endure a plethora of savage messages from trolls who cruelly suggested she shouldn’t become a mother.
Rhian was seen crying in a video where she spoke about the texts she received about her IVF information.
Rhian stated: “I’ve come forward to discuss my IVF difficulties and I’ve launched a blog about it. I’ve helped a fair number of women.
“But certain of the comments that are included in the article are truly disgusting.
“People are saying I don’t deserve to have babies, because I was a Page 3 model and saying my kids are gonna get bullied saying it’s karma from things that have happened for why I can’t have kids.”
