Reacher season 2 has been verified through Prime Video shortly after the first season was proven to be a huge success with the online streaming platform.
After a brief hiatus in the wake of the arrival of Tom Cruise’s incarnation of the role The show introduced the character of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher back to our screens. This time, however, the screens are smaller than they were before since the show is now an on-demand TV show on the streaming service Prime Video.
However, Reacher himself is bigger than ever before now since Alan Ritchson has taken on the role of the lead. At 6 feet 2 inches in height, Reacher’s height of Titansstar can be more like the character’s massive 6’5 inches in the comics and certainly puts that physique to the best benefit during the first season of Reacher season 1.
We’d wager that Reacher being around for a long time to come, because it illustrates Amazon’s priorities for Prime very well.
Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, outlined the streaming company’s strategy (via Variety) to pursue large-scale globe-trotting fantasies, such as The Wheel of Time and Rings of Power, as and action-genre films like Reacher.
“Those are two areas that we will invest in as global tentpole content strategies. But we also want to appeal to local audiences,” Salke stated. “People will come for the big global content. But what we don’t want is a customer to come in to be able to just watch one show, and then there’s nothing else for them. So we want to make sure we are really surfacing to them a collection of content that they love.”
In addition, Reacher include a few movies featuring Cruise to keep fans entertained by the show, but it also has several books that are available on Amazon. This is The The Rings of Power approach: television, movies, and books and more, all on one site The most powerful triple threat.

Reacher season 2 release date: When will Reacher season 2 air on Prime Video?
As mentioned, Prime Video officially announced a renewal for Reacher just three days after season one’s launch, but we’re still waiting for a confirmed release date.
According to Amazon (via Deadline), Reacher ranked in its top five most-watched series ever, both in the US and globally over a 24-hour period. It’s also ranked high among users too, so this quick renewal shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
We already knew, thanks to a previous update from main man Ritchson, that “filming will commence this fall” and, sure enough, in September 2022, he updated fans once again with an Instagram post from the set.
“We’re back, bigger and better than ever,” he said in a video. “Ready to kick things off with a Reacher slate. This makes it official, we’re in.”
We wouldn’t expect new episodes to arrive before early 2023, but we’re pinning our hopes on a summer 2023 release. Or maybe we’re… reaching.
Reacher season 2 cast: Who is returning for Reacher season 2?
Reacher season one featured the likes of Malcolm Goodwin’s Finley, Willa Fitzgerald’s Roscoe and Harvey Guillén’s Jasper alongside Ritchson’s Reacher, of course.
But given how the finale ended (more on that in a bit), it looks like the only cast member who’s guaranteed to return is Alan Ritchson as Reacher himself.
Reacting to Reacher’s quick season two renewal, Ritchson shared the following on Instagram: “Whoaaaaaa!!! This is incredible! Unlike Reacher who chooses to say nothing, I’m simply speechless.
“In just our opening weekend you’ve made #ReacheronPrime one of @primevideo most watched shows EVER! That is insane.
“There are so many people I’m grateful to for making this show as enjoyable as it is. But all of the creative genius and unwavering commitment by all those behind this would amount to nothing if you weren’t enjoying the world of Reacher. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
