Raising Kanan season 2 release date : When will we see it?
Raising Kanan season 2 : There’s good news for us – season two is in the works! The first episodes are scheduled to premiere in STARZ (and STARZ Play in the UK) on Sunday 14 August. They will be broadcast weekly.
The cast was so confident in the show they decided to have the next season released in July 2021 – just a few days before the first episode had even started airing.
In the last month of the month, the actors had announced that they had already begun filming the next episodes, which is sure to assist in speeding the process of releasing dates.
The reason for the new season Starz chief executive officer Jeffrey Hirsch said: “One season does not suffice to present the growing up the story that is Kanan Stark as well as his maternal grandmother, Raq who is a formidable and accomplished lady who’s truly a natural force.
“The excitement worldwide for the continuation in this Power Universe created it crystal clear that the Kanan story has to be continued.”
We don’t have to know. Other than that we’re expected for the launch of the next show in 2022.
Along with the other books in the series all due for new releases It’s possible that Raising Kananwill release at at the same date as season one which ran from July until September.

Raising Kanan Season 2 casting
It’s been confirmed that Mekai Curtis will be returning as Kanan as Kanan, and Patina Miller continuing to reign as Raquel.
Music enthusiast Lou-Lou (Malcolm Mays), Marvin (London Brown) and Jukebox (Hailey Kilgore) are back on the job, completing the family.
After being able to escape the attack, Omar Epps will be returning as Detective Howard also.
Joey Bada$ who plays Unique, Toby Sandeman who is the lead in Symphony Bosket, Shannon Burke’s Shanley Caswell, and Shawn “Famous” Figueroa actor Antonio Ortiz are also expected to return.
Also, there’s a lot known additions to the group of actors.
This includes:
- Hamilton’s Hamilton’sKrystal Joy Brown Krystal Joy Brown from Hamiltonplaying Renee Timmons, Marvin’s anger management therapy.
- NOS4A2’s star Paulina Singer in the role of Zisa, a rising singer trying to establish her with the Lou-Lou and Crown (Quincy Brown) record label.
- Queen Sugar’s Omar Dorsey as Omar Dorsey asCartier “Duns’ Fareed A charismatic businessman seeking to expand his business.
- Sistas KJ Smith as Palomar One of Famous’s new neighbors, and a young mother who is often mistaken for Corinne, her daughter’s older sister.
- Grammy winner LeToya Luckett as Kenya, Jukebox’s mother and Marvin’s ex-wife who quit the family to pursue a career at Los Angeles. The actress is currently staying in Harlem and is a regular attender at church.
