I was not sure what the fuss about KSI or Logan Paul’s latest Prime drink was about. I’d read about people who raved about the drink over on Tik Tok but was flabbergasted to read about the price individuals were selling drinks for.
KSI who’s true identity is Olajide Olayinka Williams as well as Logan Paul have a huge win after releasing their energy drink Prime which comes in a variety of flavors. On their official website, the drinks are gone and Asda has put a stop to the sales of the energy drink Prime because the stock is selling out.
Their drinks are widely available throughout America however, in the UK it’s exclusively available at Asda and costs PS2 for a bottle.
The flavors that comprise: Tropical Punch, Ice Pop, Meta Moon, Grape, Lemon Lime and Blue Raspberry are priced at PS24.99 for a 12-pack on the site. In Birmingham one shop featured all seven flavors on the 9th of November, but I’m guessing that they’re probably gone by now.
In the interest of curiosity and in not being sure if had missed something with this new drink to hydrate I set off on a search to find this drink at Nottingham. A friend of mine informed me that their child had requested this drink to celebrate Christmas!
I’m not the biggest lover of KSI or Logan Paul but if one my YouTubers I love bought drinks, I’m not sure I’d rush to buy it. Perhaps this is a trend that’s been emerging that is mainly aimed at schoolchildren because the storekeeper in Birmingham explained that the people were charging PS1 each for a glass of this brand new drink.
At the time of the ASDA Hyson Green store, Prime was available for PS2. But at the moment the shop is not in stock. Shop assistants were shocked at the speed with which it was been sold out, didn’t comprehend.
They then explained that the majority of stores don’t carry it. ASDA has made a statement stating that they will not allow customers from purchasing the energy drink in bulk, so who is to say if the drink will be on shelves that are empty soon.
A spokesperson from Asda confirmed the three-per person limit. The spokesperson said that “it’s a very well-loved product, and we have received regular deliveries to stores that have it in stock’.
The sole other stockist that is officially authorized for Arsenal is the Emirates Stadium, as it’s the club’s official drinks partner. Apart from that you can buy through the UK website whenever stocks are available.
