Nottingham Forest goalkeeper : Signed Adnan Kanuric, a young goalkeeper.
According to Reds legend, the 22-year old was training with the Reds first-team. He impressed enough to be awarded a contract. Most recently, he was with Bosnian team FK Sarajevo.
Kanuric will likely get some game time this season for Forest’s Under-21s. His arrival is a result of the fact that Jordan Smith, an academy graduate and third-choice shot stopper for Steve Cooper’s side is out of contract.
Dean Henderson is also tied to the Reds for the duration of the campaign. He is currently on loan from Manchester United. Forest also have Wayne Hennessey (who signed a two-year contract in July) and Ethan Horvath (currently on loan at Luton Town).
Kanuric has played in England twice, spending two years at Stoke City. Kanuric signed for SKF Sered, a Slovakian team, after leaving the Potters.
After that, he moved to FK Sarajevo where he was a two-time Europa Conference League qualifier at the start of the 2021/22 season. He was born in Austria and holds Bosnian citizenship. He has represented Bosnia at the Under-21 level.
The City Ground has seen a lot of new faces this summer. Although 22 Reds were added to the roster, three of them went on loan.
Cooper’s team is currently on a two week international break from Premier League play. For Friday, they will host a friendly against Palermo in Italy.
