Fourteen-year-old Justin McLaughlin schoolboy died following an incident at Glasgow’s High Street station on Saturday.
Police were called to Glasgow’s High Street station following reports of a seriously injured teen on Saturday, October 16.
The youngster was rushed to hospital but tragically died from his injuries.
The 14-year-old has been named as Justin McLaughlin as tributes pour in following his shocking and tragic death.
Police have now launched a murder investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

What happened?
Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of 14-year-old Justin McLaughlin in Glasgow city centre yesterday.
Police were called to Glasgow High Street station following reports of an injured teen at the city rail station.
The youngster was found seriously injured and was then rushed to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Sadly he could not be saved and later died in hospital.
Where and when did the incident happen?
Police were called to the scene at High Street Station in Glasgow yesterday at around 3.45pm following reports that a teenage boy had been injured.
There was a heavy emergency services presence outside the city centre rail station with police and ambulance services surrounding the area as the street was closed to public.
Detective Inspector Marc Francey, of British Transport Police, described the incident as a “shocking act of violence in broad daylight.”
The teen’s injuries proved fatal and he could not be saved.
The area has since reopened however police and forensic teams remain at High Street Station.
Has anyone been arrested?
A police investigation has been launched but no one yet has been arrested in connected to the incident.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Inspector Iain Nelson of Greater Glasgow Division said: “This has been a shocking loss of a young life and a significant investigation is underway.
“Specialist officers are supporting the boy’s family at this incredibly difficult time. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can help is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.”
