A former Love Island contestant Anton Danyluk has stated that he has stopped speaking to cast members from his show and has criticized the reality stars for being “up their in a ****”.
A 26 year old from Airdrie played in the 2019 campaign alongside Amy Hart, Amber Gill, Callum Macleod, Michael Griffiths, Joe Garratt, Lucie Donlan, Yewande Biala, Sherif Lanre, and Anna Vakili.
The personal trainer teamed along with Amy, Amber, Elma and Lucie when they were at the villa, and then finishing fifth along with make-up performer Belle Hassan just days before the finale.
Although he stayed for more than 8 weeks at the Villa along with his island friends, Anton said that he hasn’t spoken about any cast member from his past longer and added that they have became more famous after they gained fame.
“People leave the show, receive their green ticks, have their million followers and then go way up the ranks **** it’s amazing,” the 26-year-old star spoke in the CASA Spin podcast, which is hosted by Marty Guilfoyle and Tara Walsh.
“It’s very sad, but , at the same time, I’m always thankful for the experiences I went on with the people who were there. No matter what happened, it doesn’t matterbecause it was awe-inspiring,” he added.
Anton admitted that his only contact with the person that he talks to from the show was Anna Vakili, 31, after becoming close to her since the end of the show.
“I only speak with Anna only, that’s all. I and Anna are extremely connected,” he shared.
He also said that his co-stars from the past have been able to “forget their origins” However, when considering his experience in the villa the actor admitted that he would not have made it as long in the series without their support and friendship.
“The friendships are huge They’re really huge in the group. It’s like you think they’ll be forever and are like (brothers) or sisters, but often it doesn’t work out like that,” he sadly added.
The fifth season on the series took home the prize of Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea who took home the prize of PS50,000. However, they the two split a few weeks later.
Anton and Belle endured for two months in the house, before they split after which they briefly reunited and decided to end their long-distance romance in December of this year.
“I left the villa and visited my family and I did 75 different PA dates . I was all over all over the nation,” he told OK!.
