Nip/Tuck’s Kelly Carlson has discussed her decision to retire from acting.
The 44-year-old played Kimber Henry throughout the 6 seasons on Ryan Murphy’s medical show, which ran from 2003 until 2010.
Host of an Instagram Q&A on the subject She shared the reasons why her husband’s job meant that the family needed to move away from the world of entertainment.
“Not at all actually,” she said of her exile off the stage.
“Just that we are from each other. I’m supposed to go to LA but I’m not. To help my husband with his job He’s in the Navy and we’re down into Southern San Diego. Nothing terrible was happening or even a thing like that. I enjoyed my time in the area.
“He is in a business that we’re required to leave the city, and now is the mainstay of the family, and I’m the manager’s wife. It was just a choice to make, that’s all.”
But, she continued to say: “Maybe I’ll go back in the future.” …”
The actress also explained the fate of the sex doll that was based on Nip/Tuck. character, the Nip/Tuck character.
“I used to have her for a long time. Warner Bros made me take her as she’s like me. We examined my body, my face, and so technically it’s my appearance. So they’re like”She’s yours for the taking. We’re not touching it this is a sex doll.’
“She lived within my home for many years. I don’t know who purchased her. What do you think she’s up to currently. I’m not even curious!”
The actress also explained the fate of the sex doll modelled after her character Nip/Tuck.
“I was with her for years. Warner Bros made me take her as she’s like me. We took measurements of my body, face, and so technically it’s my likeness , and they’re like”She’s all yours. We’re not touching it this is a sex doll.’
“She lived located in my room for many years. I’m not sure who bought her. What do you think she’s up to currently. I’m not even interested in knowing!”
