John Wick 4 could have seen some delayed releases, but now we’ve seen our first glimpse of the upcoming film ahead of the release date next year.
The fourth film was officially announced by Lionsgate in May of 2019 shortly after the release the third film. But, we were waiting until the release date for Keanu Reeves to surprise us at Comic-Con to view the first trailer for the film.
Perhaps that means that the fourth film – likely to be titled John Wick: Chapter 4 to make it compatible with other sequels to its date of release in March 2023, as it’s been way too long since the last time we saw John Wick.
Furthermore the possibility of an fifth film has been confirmed however, before we get in the future, we’ll tell you all you must be aware of about John Wick 4..
John Wick 4 release date : When will John Wick Chapter 4 out?
The fourth film was originally planned to release at the end of May 21st, 2021 prior to being delayed until May 27 2022 and later it was delayed a second time to the present date, March 24, 2023..
As I mentioned earlier, hopefully the date will hold as the trailer for the first teaser suggests that the film will be released in March 2023 , as it is currently scheduled.
The filming started from June through October 2021. A wrap-around gift suggested that the title of the fourth film will be Hagakure as a reference to the Japanese text dating from the 17th century.
This isn’t yet confirmed , so treat this with a pinch of salt for the time being.
It was initially thought that the fifth film was to be filmed back-to-back with the fourth film, however the plan was changed the result of delays prior to the time of the production start for the fourth film.
We’ve yet to receive an news regarding when John Wick 5 will be filmed , or what date the film will get made available for release.
John Wick 4 cast: Who’s returning in John Wick Chapter 4?
Keanu Reeves will definitely return in the role of John Wick as a John Wick movie without him could be similar to an Mission: Impossible movie with Tom Cruise.
He’ll be joined by Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King, Lance Reddick as Continental Hotel concierge Charon and Ian McShane as Continental owner Winston who could (or may not) had tried to murder John during the conclusion of the third film.
It’s not clear yet whether the new film been able to bring back Jason Mantzoukas as the Tick Tock Man, one the Bowery King’s assassins and Halle Berry’s Sofia since she’s paying back the marker Wick and even has her own hotel.
We’re sure we’ll see members of members of the High Table again, so this could mean a return of Asia Kate Dillon’s Judge. Said Taghmaoui as the Elder and Anjelica Huston as Director, who is one of those who are members of the High Table.
There are a lot of newcomers to the fourth film however, such as Bill Skarsgard, Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Clancy Brown, Rina Sawayama, and Scott Adkins.
We don’t have any idea of who any of them are currently however we did see our first glimpses at Brown as well as Skarsgard from the trailer – and neither one of them looks especially friendly to John Wick.
Brown earlier hinted previously that his role could be involved in his character’s involvement with High Table. “I believe it’s more than the Table that is revealed. A lot more than it is the High Table, the kind of intricateness of the authority structure, is revealed,” he explained.
“And I’m also in some scenes can be described as scene-settings, I would think. Many of my scenes feature Bill Skarsgard, which was quite a blast.”
