“Love Island’s” Gemma Owen performed a sexy dance in the challenge to beat heart rate during this evening’s show on the ITV2 show. Her dad Michael Owen made his response quite clear.
the Love Island’s Gemma Owen tried to make the boys’ hearts going tonight as her father Michael Owen tuned in from his home.
Football legend Michael confessed that he was concerned about signing his daughter on to this ITV2 programme, yet this was not the right time for him to watch because the Islanders were given the task of performing sexually explicit dance routines for their partners.
Gemma was among the first girls to show up to dance for everyone else, but she focused heavily on the Luca Bish who she has been in a relationship with the majority of her stay in the villa, and the two are growing closer than ever.
From at home Michael was watching and went on twitter to express his opinions about the whole incident.
He tweeted an emoji only via the platform with a face-mask of a person hidden their face. The tweet received hundreds of comments, and people joked that it was not a good moment to watch the show.
“Wrong night to listen to “#loveisland,” one wrote while another wrote. “Loooooooooooooooooooool deep breaths my guy.”
A third person wrote: “Watching your daughter strip on prime-time tv to a fisherman caused my heart to explode,” as a fourth writer wrote: “Mans walking up to the villa to drag Gemma out of the water like this “#LoveIsland.”
Michael earlier explained that the show made him uncomfortable watching her swear in the show.
“One thing that I wasn’t thrilled aboutwhile watching the show, was the quantity of swearing. And by Gemma too. She used the word “s**t” (he writes it down) and I was screaming at the screen. I do not allow swearing in my the house,” the man explained.
Michael added that he also believed in the daughter’s capacity to make “sensible choices” despite her youthful age.
“She’s an adult of 19. She’s somewhat like me in this regard. I played with Liverpool in the year I turned 17 and had to be able to get along with 23 -, 24-, and 25-year-olds. The main thing is that she’s an adult now and I need to believe in her ability to make rational choices,” he said.
“Gemma was 19 when she turned her birthday in May. A lot of the attention on her social media has been focused on her youthfulness. She’s been around for two years longer than I have to be ready for the spotlight.”
