Frances Tophill is a familiar name to Gardeners’ World viewers. She has been hosting the show with Monty Don, Carol Klein and Adam Frost for many years.
Who is Frances Tophill ?
Frances has been a 33-year-old author, horticulturist and TV presenter from Kent, South East England. After gaining a love in all things related to horticulture she attended her school, the Scottish Agricultural College and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
In an interview recently, Frances revealed that she “came to gardening late.” She said to the One the magazine that: “Having had two failed attempts between the ages of seven and six in which I attempted to help my mom and ended up getting out of the way, I never thought about it until I was offered the position to become an apprentice gardener. At the age of 19 years old. I applied, showed at the interview, and took an informal walk through the gardens and realized that it was the career I wanted to be doing.
Alongside Gardeners’ World She also has been featured as a guest on Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh, David Domoney and Katie Rushworth.
In addition to her work on TV, Frances is also a published author. The first of her books, entitled the First Time Gardener, was released in the year 2015. It was and was followed with the book The Container Gardener The Container Gardener was released in the year 2017.

While Frances will be more than content sharing her garden knowledge to the world however, it seems that she’s not as open about her private life. In this regard, her marital status is not known.
