Armenia vs Scotland : On paper , it was an easy victory for Scotland however, it wasn’t without its scares in Yerevan.
A quick Armenian goal put Steve Clarke’s team on sidelines and, despite Stuart Armstrong’s quick goal the score could be even worse.
A scrambled back-line allowed the hosts slip in repeatedly, but the Scots managed to stay out of the way, and took control following the incident in which Arman Hovhannisyan put the nut to John McGinn and saw red for his infractions.
Armstrong scored a second time with a fantastic finish after which McGinn added a third goal after the break.
And Che Adams completed an attack to make sure Scotland came back from defeat in Dublin by claiming a morale-boosting victory.
The match ended on a bad note as Kamo Hovannisyan was given an red card following a shrewd challenge on Lewis Ferguson.
The incident exploded at the end of the game, and Clarke was critical of the Armenian supporters who threw bottles.
The match, however it ended with a desperately needed Scotland victory – and we are now one point behind the group leaders Ukraine.
