Joshua was stripped of his WBA, WBO and IBF world championship belts in the hands of Ruiz Jr in June after being smashed four times on the way to an incomprehensible seventh-round defeat.
Ruiz Jr shocked the boxing world when he won, however Joshua did not hesitate to exercise his contractual right to have a rematch nearly immediately. Just a few days later, the second fight was confirmed to be held in Diriyah the town of a few hundred people located on the outskirts of Saudi Arabia’s capital city Riyadh.
