American horror story star Taissa Farmiga is returning to another prolific supernatural franchise.
The actress, who has most recently starred in period drama The Gilded age , will reprise the role of sister irene from 2018’s gothic horror.
The storyline in the Nun 2 will shift The action will shift from Romania and move it to France. A year after the original film the priest’s death in mysterious circumstances. Similar to the film The Nun Sister Irene (Farmiga) is summoned to investigate and confront the monster called Valak as a threatening force is expanding.
Taissa is the daughter of another actress who is a part of the Conjuring universe, Vera Farmiga, though the characters of Vera Farmiga and Taissa aren’t related.
Vera is also the character of Kate Bishop’s mom Eleanor in the Marvel television series Hawkeye She is a the paranormal police investigator Lorraine Warren opposite Patrick Wilson’s Ed.
For Taissa she is currently filming season two of The Gilded Age with Cynthia Nixon, Christine Baranski, Carrie Coon and Louisa Jacobson.
The series was created by Downton Abbey’s Julian Fellowes The series focuses on the battle between the newly wealthy and established wealthy families of 1880s New York.
Farmiga is as the girl of the new riche Russell family of Gladys seeking independence , while her mom Bertha (Coon) protects her from the prejudice they face.
